CORK RAPE CRISIS CENTRE

The Cork Rape Crisis Center was based in 1983 to help and to advise the persons victims of a rape or a sexual abuse.
The centre implements everything to fight violence, by the advice, the training, the accompanying in the job-hunting and a work in narrow collaboration with media.

The work of a team

Link among the victims, the doctors and the legal authorities, the voluntary staff of Cork Rape Crisis intervenes in several levels:
-Assistance, medical and legal accompanying
-Council to the victims by telephone or opposite to the face in the centre. Taken care at administrative level, advice on methods to be made.
-Advice in training. To favor the integration of the victims on the market of labour force by the training and the information.

The NTIC allowed in various persons concerned by the problems of violence to work at distance without limit of space time, to communicate at any time with the victims, to supply them information and to spread in a very wide way due to the Internet site: www.cork-rapecrisis.ie

European LINGUANET project

Foreseen from 1998 till 1999, this project contains two programs of training, the first for councillors also after university studies, the second is a program of training for the formative. The participants come from the Cork Rape Crisis Cente of all Ireland.
