Internet in the French companies
Survey realised for NetValue between 5th au 12th january 2000 to de 400 managers
of 2000 first French groups (extract from MON ENTREPRISE ET LE NET http://www.monentreprise.net)
- 81.3 % of the people interviewed estimate that their companies have entered
in the Inernet world or that they companies have integrated Internet in their
strategies.
- 81.9 % of the people interviewed consider that they have enough information
on Internet, and say that their first source of information is the specialised
press
(for 48.4 %°of the people interviewed before informatic services and multimedia
in-house) .
- 78.4 % of the people interviewed estimate that Internet bring opportunities
to their companies. For them 80.3% of the opportunities concerned the development
of their image and their trade.
- 69 % of the people interviewed have no fear concerning Internet. For 31.1
% of people having fears , 89 % of them concerned security and confidentiality.
- 6.8 / 10 is the average mark (from 1 to 10) done for the effort plan to develop
Internet for the next 12 months
- 82.9 % of the people interviewed jugde their general manager enough concerned
about Internet and 58.1% the company in general
- 70.7 % of the people interviewed estimate that their companies are not late
on their Internet development plan, and 69% consider Internet as a simple new
element of their global company functionment.
- 26.6 % of the people interviewed send from 1 to 5 personal e-mail by day,
23.1 % from 6 to 10 and 20.6 % from 11 to 20; that is to say an average of 16.9
sent messages for 20.1 received e-mail.
More than 8.6 million Internet users in France result from a Internet
IDC survey (extract from the magazine "Mon entreprise et le net")
6.3 million PC connected to Internet for the first quater of 2000, a progression
of 27% from the third quarter of 1999 and 112% in comparaison to the first quater
of 1999.The number of professional PC connected to Internet has grown up with
a progression of 30.4% with a significant growth rate form the SME
